About Us

The Visionary Who Started The Movement

The Philippine LGBT Chamber of Commerce was founded in 2016 by Brian Tenorio†, a designer, entrepreneur, strategist, and LGBTQIA+ advocate who believed that the community’s contributions to Philippine business deserved to be recognized and amplified. Drawing from his work in design, entrepreneurship, communications, and advocacy, Brian created a platform that placed LGBTQIA+ people at the center of business—as entrepreneurs, leaders, innovators, and economic contributors.

For Brian, business and design were tools for creating connection, possibility, and change. He championed LGBTQIA+ representation in entrepreneurship, workplace inclusion, and economic development, leaving a lasting legacy in the LGBTQIA+ and creative communities before his passing in 2020.

Today, PLCC continues the movement he started by building a more inclusive Philippine economy where LGBTQIA+ people can participate, lead, innovate, and thrive. Brian started the conversation. We continue the work.

To champion the economic empowerment of the LGBTQIA+ community by connecting businesses, developing leaders, expanding opportunities, and advocating for inclusive policies and practices that contribute to sustainable national development.

Our Vision

A Philippines where LGBTQIA+ businesses are recognized as vital drivers of innovation, opportunity, and sustainable economic growth.

The Philippine LGBT Chamber of Commerce (PLCC) is an inter-industry organization of businesses of, by, and for the LGBTQIA+ community in the Philippines.

Founded in 2016, we believe LGBTQIA+ people are not simply consumers or beneficiaries of inclusion but entrepreneurs, business owners, professionals, innovators, employers, investors and leaders who make meaningful contributions to the Philippine economy.

PLCC brings together LGBTQIA+-owned and LGBTQIA+-led businesses, professionals, organizations, and allies to build opportunities, strengthen enterprises, develop leaders, and advance a more inclusive business environment. 

Through networking, knowledge-building, market access, partnerships, talent development, and policy advocacy, we help LGBTQIA+ businesses thrive while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion across Philippine workplaces and industries.

PLCC began in 2016 with a vision of creating a stronger economic voice for the LGBTQIA+ community. In its early years, the Chamber focused on network-building, business education, and workplace inclusion, bringing LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs, professionals, and businesses together while introducing the business case for SOGIE inclusion.

As PLCC grew, its work expanded from advocacy into capacity-building and enterprise development, with greater attention given to MSMEs and LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs. The Chamber began creating practical pathways for businesses to improve their operations, embrace digital transformation, and participate more meaningfully in the economy.

PLCC strengthened its role as a platform for economic empowerment, market access, and inclusive business development. Programs such as EXCEL (Entrepreneurship and Employment Connectivity for the LGBTQIA+) and QueerCon created spaces for LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs to learn, connect, showcase their businesses, and access new opportunities.

As PLCC enters its second decade, its work is evolving into a broader ecosystem for economic inclusion, talent development, market access, policy advocacy, and global partnerships. Through initiatives such as ChamberTalks, ChamberLeads, and ChamberSeal, as well as collaborations such as the Quezon City LGBTIQ+ Business Summit, PLCC continues to bring LGBTQIA+ economic participation into the mainstream.
