Manila, Philippines – As a milestone partnership that will further champion the LGBT+ contribution in Philippine business, the Philippines’ leading LGBT+ business organization The Philippine LGBT Chamber of Commerce (PLCC) has recently joined the global network of US-headquartered National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC).
This move signals a positive direction as the PLCC strives to build a ‘DEIcosystem’ (diversity, equality, and inclusion ecosystem) that will connect LGBT+ business leaders, companies, and allied entities/organizations to the global economy.
Says Ronn Astillas, PLCC Chair: “PLCC is honored to yet again lead the way for the local LGBT+ business community to embrace opportunities through future cooperation initiatives with other national LGBT chambers. The road to authentic inclusion and diversity should connect to other paths promoting and celebrating our significant contributions to global economic development.”
Justin Nelson, NGLCC Co-Founder and President, highlights: “NGLCC is very proud to welcome PLCC to our international network of LGBTI chamber affiliates and we look forward to supporting their efforts to promote inclusive economic growth and create additional business opportunities for LGBT-owned companies and entrepreneurs in the Philippines.”
As part of this partnership, the two organizations will share educational resources on LGBT+ issues and corporate sector engagements, as well as create mutually beneficial programming. NGLCC will also work with PLCC in the latter’s efforts to develop and launch an official LGBT certification program in the Philippines, as guided by NGLCC’s best practices.

This will also allow PLCC to tap and collaborate with the chambers within NGLCC Global Network. Founded in 2002, The National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), is a US advocacy organization dedicated to expanding economic opportunities for the LGBT business community. In 2013, the organization launched NGLCC Global, a division which promotes the growth of small businesses and provides the quickest and most effective path to broad-based economic advancement and empowerment of the global LGBT+ community.
